This is my account of my wife’s journey through brain cancer and our family’s journey through the year after she died.

Nick Beston: I am a professional saxophone player, teacher and composer based in south east London. I have recorded saxophone solos for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and various commercials and CD’s. More unusual credits include playing the sax solos on the latest Joan Collins workout video and appearing live on Channel 4 playing tenor sax dressed as a gorilla! I enjoy playing for parties, weddings and other celebrations and during 2007 I performed at over 140 events. I first played saxophone, and organised the band, for a wedding at the age of 16 and have been booking musicians and organising live music ever since. I currently run and direct NBQ Jazz, teach saxophone and jazz for Sevenoaks School in Kent and play free-lance for anyone who needs a sax player for anything!
